About us

Established in 2009,  Dorset Homebrew was born out of necessity, when Boots the Chemist stopped supplying homebrew equipment and left locals floundering, with practically nowhere in Dorset stocking a good range of the essentials. Being a keen brewer herself for over 25 years, Coreen decided to grasp the bull by the horns, and start a local retail outlet.

"We started small and 'tested' local response by taking on a stall at Wimborne Market on Friday, Saturdays and Sunday mornings.

What this told us was that we're not alone in our homebrewing quest.

We now have a dedicated local following and have met and made many new friends through local brewers, with customers coming from Dorset, Hampshire and even Wiltshire!

Our mission is to bring a ready supply of homebrewing equipment and ingredients to all our customers, either in person or via the internet, as quickly and as reasonably priced as possible.

We're obviously achieving this, as our customer base continues to grow month on month, year on year.

In early 2011 we moved to a new warehouse, enabling us to further expand our stock both in range and quantity and providing us with extended shipping and packing facilities needed for our internet business.  

The internet, as always, is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, with all items being posted or couriered within 24/48 hours at the best possible postage costs we can achieve"
